Yea.. So, i was bored today, and as i layed down in my car i just decided to take out the front and rear dome lights out and to color them... But before i did that, i went to all these bulb/aftermarket stores to see if i could find a manufactured color light (blue or red), none of them fit, except this 1 bulb that would cost me 15$.... So, i said screw that
I went home, took my moms red nail polish and colored the bulb wit it, and now its red
i have a spare silvania just in case it lights on fire or something

I actually spray painted one of my dome lights once... sure it looked nice when it was OFF. Once you turn it ON, you will see how much it sucks...lol
The rubber sleeve suck too because they fade after a while.
The best way is to buy a new quality colored bulb.

i did the sharpie method the first time, but it ended up looking more like green than blue, and then it started fading...from the start it wasnt something i was happy with.
i got a LED dome light from ebay for like $3, put it in there and not is this awesome blue color.
LED is the way to go.

for the front i got the colored 168 bulb or whatever it is, its an awsome dark blue...
but for the rear i tried those plastic sleeves, it looked green, then i put the second sleeve on over the first one and it looked a tiny bit better but still ha d a whie spot in the middle...
i cand find a blue colored bulb for the rear dome light, the one i did find was a narrower bulb than what holds it in, i tried to squeeze the contacts closer together but it's still too small... so i figure i'm gonna wrap aluminum foil around the metal ends of the bulb to make the metal fit snugly...
