There is not set shift point. Shift whenever you feel like it. And you don't need to give it a set amount of gas before letting off the clutch. Just practice on level ground to get a feel for when the clutch grabs then progress to hills. More practice = easier. Once you get a feel for it, it's like second nature. Just keep at it.

FlyRice...I shift at 3000-4000k...not even hitting Vtech?!?!....my LX doesn't have Vtech

I would suggest playing moving it in and out of gear at stop lights, that is how I learned to shift in split second time frames. Just drive and shift it, drive a lot, slow down and speed up a bit, just learn the rythm of the shifter.
As far as the clutch, it's a matter of feel as well.. test out different patterns with each pedal, clutch and gas, and once you find the spot that most often sticks, stick to it until you are comfortabe enough to evolve.

Practice, practice, practice. i cannot stress that enough. It all starts to become automatic. i taught my wife to learn by instinct and feel. Since you knew how to drive stick and have hte concept down, it sholdn't be hard to get back into t he groove. Now get out there and PRACTICE!

Peace
Connor
