By the time you start paying the higher price on the Si, you could have done an engine swap into your HX. This way you would have the style/performance you are looking for. I was stuck in the same situation as you earlier this week. I decided to wait and get my engine swap.

Is your HX fully paid off or are you still financing your Civic?? Do you still owe on your civic? If you do then it isnt worth it. In the end you will just be paying more and be paying off the si for longer than you would if you kept your HX. You gotta figure, if your car isnt paid off....They are going to give you $11,000 for it and then you gotta pay off the balance on your HX....after that you will have what evers left to put down on the si and then you will have another car loan for X amount of years. If that is ok with you, then I say get it.
Oh and this belongs in members rides.....Because you are asking about your car....So I am moving this now.

figure out the money thing (you should be able to figure it out with a little help whether you will come out on top or not) and get the Si if you can afford it. I love mine. If you're financing, i got 1.9% on mine and i pay $302 a month. Pretty affordable for me. Hope this helps...
I sure wish my car was newer

If you want style, Honda is good. If you want performance, but a Mustang or Camaro. What does 'a few minor kinks' mean? I would never even think about buying a new car in anything other than immaculate show-room condition. Especially if I had to pay more than what I was currently paying. Either way, 160hp is still by no means powerful. And if you want a fast car, buy a fast car, but I see no gain by paying more to buy that ugly little Si.
