Try sprinkling some road salt on the snow (avoid getting any directly on the car!). Or you can try pooring buckets of hot water all over the ice/snow. It's worth a shot.

get a bucket of warm water, mix some salt (not a little...just be reasonable) in there...regular salt not road salt (that s**t is bad)...and then pour the solution over the ice/snow. that should do it...not saying its gonna do it fast, but itll melt.

Dude your stuck. Get a freind with a truck to pull you out. That or take the bus and wait for the snow to melt. I hate driving when it snows any ways because all that shtuff they put on the roads really makes my car look so nasty.

go over to crappy-tire and pick up some of that ice-melter stuff... not really sure what it's called, but it's sorta like salt but seems to be stronger stuff... it also comes in liquid form... usually used to remove ice off windshields... or use an ice-pik... and don't forget to wash the crap off afterwards, might ruin the paint...
DO NOT give your car a golden shower... your pee will freeze in a matter of seconds in sub-zero temps hey you'll have a yellow car!

1) That's such a waste or water
2) It'll take forever
3) Might risk possible crashed when ice is heated that fast. Especially windshields.
Just leave it there...the ice will go away soon enough...
But I think the hairdryer thing is your best bet.
