Hey I installed my VIS OEM style CF hood today. If anyone from Ohio wants to come to my house and help me install hood pins that would be great! I'm nervous to start drilling through it. The hood was in really good condition. There were no imperfections or anything. The edges were rolled real nice and it fit perfectly. It just bolted right in the first time and shut the first time I tried. I got my UK Spec tails too, but one was chipped so I gotta wait till they send me another one. I dunno about the clearcoating. I have friends around here who have had hoods for a year and a half or more and they still look fine. They did not add a clearcoat and the quality of the hoods are not as good as this one. On my friends hood the edges are not rolled as nice, that's about the only difference and it did not fit as perfect. So once again I dont know. None of my friends have added an extra clearcoat and they look fine.

By the way for anyone reading this thread, if you have a carbon fiber hood, did you add an extra clearcoat? I would just like to see how many people actually did. Thanks.

Good choice. Black looks almost as good as Silver with CF.
