so i grew some ***** this morning... PICS!

no this isnt X rated

the weather was at an all time high in CT the sun was out- a scorching 48 degrees it was actually warm enough for me to go out in a t-shirt! i decided to finally CUT MY FENDERS to install my sidemarkers. good news- it came out awesome. good ol' dremel tool never fails to impress me.

what do u think?

i used blankets to protect the rest of the car from sparks

not too bad huh?

i havent put the actual marker on, because im gonna put another coat of rust stop on it tomorrow, then top it off with some touch up paint.

the paint bubbled a little bit under the bottom cuts on both sides, but the side marker completely covers it- i hope this bubble wont spread and cause problems. as long as no one touches it, i should be fine right? no one will touch it- because it will be covered by the marker.

Good job. What is that place on your door where the discoloration is? Just dust or what?

Yea nice cut job.
I thought of gettin sidemarkers but i went for the LED Mirrors.
I'm getting them painted from Chrome to Black to match my Vic.
The LED Mirrors are in blue, so no more sidemarkers for me.
Great Job!

You might want to sand down the edges around the hole you cut. Make sure the paint isn't flaking (I can see at the bottom of the hole it's flaking) because the paint will just keep chipping off and it'll start to rust even with your sidemarker installed.

yeah, the reason it stands out so much is because he washed the fender before he cut it. before i cut mine i washed it and waxed it, then after i cut it i waxed it again. then applied paint around the edges and installed the marker lights.

ahh so u guys think that paint bubble is gonna spread? even if i load up on 2 coats of that rust stop stuff? i dunno what brand the markers are, i got em cheap at a local shop. theyre flat, oval shaped, slightly smoked clear ones with a black rubber seal. im putting amber 4-element leds in them so it looks completely clear when off. ill post pics of the final outcome tomorrow

im worried about that paint chip its even worse on the other side- but not big enough to be seen when the marker is on...i wonder if i cut the bubble out and put some rust stop on it- will it spread on me right there and then? maybe ill just leave it alone, and check up on it once in a while until im confident its alright
