Those pics make them look the same, but I know they are not, since I also have the Silverstars. Anyways, I'm happy with mine. The light is much whiter than stock. (And I didn't want it blue).

first off... they are a crapload brighter than the superblue lights...
second... they appear yellow because of the angle...
third... when the lense is clean which in this shot it was not... it is really bright...
i was gonna get fog lights... but after seeing these in action... i am rethinking my decision about getting them

It's the camera settings tungsten light always comes out yellow and florescent green. Play with the setting until your picture looks like what you actually see. The human eye makes adjustments that some CCD sensors in digital cameras or film can't adjust for. With film it's done with filters. I think it's called white balance adjustment in a digital camera???
I just got ticketed for my Nokya Arctic Whites and one burnt out the same day. I replaced them with Silverstars and I think they are brighter and I can tell they are whiter than stock because my gf still has stock bulbs in hers. Oh well, they are bright and legal so I can go to court and get my ticket dismissed I gotta change out my Blue Polarg turns also and then after that its back in blue.

Guys, guys. . . pictures will not show the difference. They're not HIDs for Christ's sake. . . .
The Silverstars ARE whiter. . . and they ARE brighter. Even with my Cool Blues (also Sylvania) I wanted fog lights. . . Got the foglights on (PIAA Super White Solitaires) then upgraded headlights to Silverstars. Once I did that, the foglights no longer make a difference. (In the fog, the help a little, but in normal driving conditions, not at all.)
Observe:

Worth the money? HELL YEAH.
The only thing I would even consider paying more for would be an HID kit. . . at least 5500K. Until then, I would have to say the Silverstars are the best bang for the buck, and a very worthwhile upgrade.

Well now, doesn't the right kind of picture change your mind. Now that I see the light they throw, I think that I'll be pickin' some of those bad boys up. Thanks for the sweet pics Mango

They DO NOT look like that......... those second pics.... that looks like HID.... you set the exposure time for too long or the white balance.... either way they don't look like that....

took pictures for comparison and they are deceiving
...
silverstars on civic

silverstars on civic , notice the parking light looks a different color but the only thing changed was the angle of the camera...deceiving

close up of Honda Pilot stock headlight, uses same h4 bulb as civic... notice how white it looks but it really is not, its much yellower than the photo shows

far away comparison shot, here is where you can see the difference, but I still think this is exaggerated due to the camera. I think digital cameras make Silverstars look a lot whiter than they actually are, how would i adjust the exposure???

It got to the point where I would pull my car to the side of the road (safely of course), leave the headlights on, jog up the road about 50 yards and compare the silverstars to oncoming cars... the results, they are indeed whiter and brighter than stock but... call me ricey, call me crazy, IMO they just aren't as white as I want...
I ordered my MTECs from Ebay yesterday, further comparison when they arrive

i just finished installing my Silverstars. I actually got the OSRAM versions (OSRAM = European, Sylvania = North America) I remember talking to someone at Sylvania and they said that when u first install them, they will look like stock lights, but after time they will get whiter and brighter as the coating on the bulb burns off (for anybody that does have them installed, is this more or less true) I took a drive with them installed but they still have that stock bulb colour but they are brighter though. Im not sure if the OSRAM version will be different from the Sylvania ones. plus my bulbs come as singles and come in an ordinary OSRAM/Sylvania looking box. something similar to regular household light bulbs. so i guess ill just have to wait awhile to see if they do get the 4500K mark!
