Kinda like how the black cars smoke out theirs. I was wondering if anybody has done this to theirs and how it looked...I saw a Silver RSX with it once, and it looked pretty nice.

Why would it be an issue with the police?? It's translucent paint so you can still see the red lights and white reverse light.

I found a picture of an RSX with one.

As far as I know u still can't see the red reflector. I got pulled over on my last civic for all clear taillights because there is no red reflector and even people with blackouts have problems with most police departments. Because of no reflector and it cuts down on the amount of light that emitts from the taillight so you would be put at fault if you got rear ended because the person could claim they couldn't see your brake lights. Happen to a few of my buds in this past, luckily they were driving older cars. I would hate to have my new ride rear ended and put at blame the way people are around here.

But that does look really cool though

well its not really a matter of whether or not light shines through but more of if it reflects red or not... i can care less if its illegal but reason why i havnt blacked out my tails is, i dont want to take the rap for getting rear ended... my first car was rear ended when it was parked and it was totalled, i'm sure if i had it smoked, i would have been paying for it out of my pocket(by paying higher insurance premium that is). but ya they have to reflect red, this meaning even when the lights are off, and another cars headlight shines on it, it has to reflect red. not just shine red.. its your choice tho, i have my reasons for not wanting to do it... i've seen pictures of parts of the tails painted silver to match the car, it looked nice... still legal too...
