Weeeeeeell, since you keep getting pulled over, chances are you are going to continue to be pulled over until something changes. Soooooooooo, either get legal tint, or just pull it off completely.

EDIT: Oh, and while I'm at it, I might as well suggest a custom paint color for your car since you're open for suggestions:
Someone really needs to do the IS 300 Gunmetal. A friend of mine already did the 99-00 Si Electron Blue... I've seen Suzuka blue from the S2000 and "The Tick" blue. I say gunmetal. The IS 300 is the only car with that color and there aren't that many (at least from where I live, but I see a lotta IS 300s in places like San Diego... I see more of them than Integras and Civics the last time I was down there). It would look sick on the Civic.

Basically, he is going to pull you every time he sees you until you take the tint off or put legal tint on. Eventually, you'll find yourself out in the driveway peeling...well, unless you like getting pulled everyday.

i've planned on getting a custom paint job, but i have to wait til i graduate , so... i think that color would look sick and no one here has it on their civ -yet-. ... i haven't seen the cop in a while, he must be in some other town bother people, paying for the tickets isn't a problem... i just wanna know if the car would look better with the "illegal" tint it has, or without tint at all.
If you got the loot to do it, keep the illegal tint - looks sweet. I'd love to be able to tell the cop to go ahead and fine me, i can afford it, god i hate illegal tint laws. When i got my '93 Teg i had to get the tint taken off to pass inspection. Gay laws...

I dont know about in florida, but here in michigan, all you have to do is go to your eye doctor. tell him that lately your eyes have been super sensitive to light. and ask him to write a letter addressed to whom it may concern, saying that you need special dark tint because your sensitivity to light. then when the police officer pulls you over, you simply show him this letter, and he will let you go.
This is what I have, and it works great. I have limosine tint, and i get away with it. Here in Michigan, you arent even aloud to tint your front windows, but I am cuz i got that letter.

Humm that is a good idea if I start having issues I will go do that. So you have 7% window tint on your front doors and thats what he wrote you up about? Yeah only the state police have tint meters so they have to have those to get a ticket to hold up in court around here. But yeah I hate front door tint laws I think its dumb if the rest of your car can be as dark as you want but the front doors can't? I have 6% limo all around and I love the look of it so I can see why you want to keep the tint I just watch out for old po po if I see him those front windows come down hehe
But the eye doctor idea is a good one

Nice ride, by the way. . . . but three things:
1. There's a reason many states have limits on the tint. Say you're a cop or state patrol and you pull a car over for speeding, etc. You approach the car and can't see through the windows because they're WAY too dark. You tap on the driver's window so you can issue a citation. . . .. driver pulls a gun on you. OR, there is a passenger with a weapon of some kind. This is the MAJOR reason there are tint laws.
2. How's your backing-up with the tint? Run over any garbage cans or small pets, yet? How about lane changes and turns at night? I have a friend with limo tint on his car, and yes it looks sweeet. . . but he has to roll his windows at night for turns. . . even in the driving rain! No thanks.
3. Said friend also has letter issued by doctor for tint. Now he's a good friend of mine, and I would never rag on him for this. . . but let's get real. Sunglasses, people. Sunglasses
I'm not knocking your ride or how you want it to look. But is the constant harassment really worth it? I've got a 35% tint (legal limit in WA state) and it still makes the car look nice. . . . I do think darker is better for looks, but it's really less practical and getting pulled-over just gets annoying after a while. Sorry if it sounds like I'm flaming. . . I'm not. Just pointing a few facts out.
And no, that's not the real tint in my signature. . . . photoshopped windows.

well, i haven't gotten messed with ne more so far But i have no problem seeing out my windows , how dark is your tint??????
I always roll down my window if I get pulled over I don't know anyone that actually leaves their window up when they get pulled over. Yeah I have 6% up here and it rains quite a bit but I never have any problems with seeing at night. I had 22% for awhile and I still never had problems at night. No matter how dark the tint I find I still need sunglasses no matter what the percentage. Plus keeps the dang thieves from seeing into your ride and nosy drivers. Now if I was living in CA I would have like 22% since they allow like no tint on the front windows but most states that allow like 32% or so I have found they never do usually go after just tint in those states. But my mom has 22% all around and has had no problems either.
