My baby got to test out her 5mph bumper

I was behind this lady in a Honda Odyssey mini-van. We were stopped and trying to merge into traffic. Well a hole opened up in the traffic and I saw her brake lights go off and her car rock like she was applying the gas.

So I looked back to see if I could merge also. I started to let out the clutch and idle forward at less than 2mph. The next the I know. BAM! I stopped dead.

I had rear ended her. She apparently decided not to go when she had the chance. But it was still my fault for not looking.

We pull over onto the side of the road and I immediatly jump out of the car and look to see if any damage has been done to my baby. I could care less about the woman. After I found out that nothing happened to my car, not even a scratch I then turned to talk to her.

She was really nice and we called the cops, exchanged insurance. I didn't get a ticket or anything. I only ended up putting an inch long crack in her bumper.

shouldn't have exchanged ins. Something that small, you should of jus paid out of pocket. Depending on your age, you insurance can go up quite a bit. Even though the accident was nothing big.

This is my first accident ever.........so I'm told by my parents that my insurance isn't gonna go up.

They said that we will find out what the insurance company says the cost and pay it out of pocket instead of having them pay it. That's if she even takes it to get it fixed.

She had been rearended before me and had other cracks in there. So I dont' know how one could tell which accident caused which crack.

oh ****! thats bad dude, if she is a low life or something like that, then she can yank out a lot of money from your insurance if she wants to... same thing happened to my friend, but the person he hit exagerated and said he hit the other side of the bumper where ther was a HUGE dent when in fact he just scratched the other guys bumper... so instead his insurance having to pay like $2-350 dollars for repair, the had to pay for a brand new bumper!

It's good that you did have the police come out. Make sure to give a copy of the report your insurance company to ensure they know exactly what happened, otherwise, the lady you hit could expound on what truly happened. That police report is VERY important.

My cousin has rear ended someone and he just told her he would pay for repairs and everything went cool. So it all depends on the person you hit. But that story right there is about how I rear ended a Jeep when I thought they were going I move up and they didn't go and you talk about close to hitting someone. I can't believe I didn't hit that jeep and the girl in the back seat was just staring at me saying WOW hehe she was hot too LOL but has made me think twice now when driving and blind spots in the car are very dangerous. Especially up here in the rain and fogged up windows.
