#1 stereo. cna upgrade without trying to stuff a large battery in a small space
#2 sits by the intake. opens up some interesting options in the future, ive always wanted to build a custom intake after the throttle boddy, just teh design over the months has changed time and time again. now i have all the space i could want.
#3, its just not done very often, i think its creative and interesting. puts my battery closer to my amplifiers that cant hurt

So did you build a custom box for the battery in the trunk?? Got a pic of that? I don't think its wise just to have it rolling around back there.
Cool move, it also helps the weight distribution a little, and it looks like the engine bay needs a good hose down.

badciv, its just a matter of reestablishing all teh connections you had before. you cna ground the battery anywhere, then its just reconnecting the pos side back up, which i did through the stereo cable. very simple, all you need are a pair of large butt connectors and yrou set!

i still need to go through my dealership about my wiring to double check. Ideally, the alternator is isolated, so teh fuses for the car remain wired correctly. everything in my car is routed through the alternator for a more direct current feed, and i think abotu this sometimes.
One of these days, to put my mind at rest, yes Im going to directly hood a 4 guage wire isolated from the stereo to the accessories, leaving the alternator out of the picture.

correct me if I am wrong but i thought the alternator powered you assecories and charged your battery after start up. If you bypass the alternator all together you would suck your battery dry in 5 hours max. Maybe I just don't understand what you are talking about. but whatever! nifty Idea. I just need to relocate my spare. I am going to start the plans this weekend. wish me luck.
I know someone has already done it but it's all hush hush. I'll figure it out and give you the DIY.

no hush hush, there was a huge topic about it in tech. try searching for it. there are many many different schools of thought how to do it, but in teh end they all involve a washer and drillign a hole
