Im tryin to figure out how dark i want my tint, 20 or 15 %
Anyone got pics of their car to show me what these percetages will look like. Send em over

Also is there a dark mirror type tint?

i think i saw someone on this site has 20% titanium..its the perfect tint IMO

I have 35% tint on the front and sometimes it's hard to see the objects in the side mirrors (Night time only)

nah..its not really mirror tint..its black when you look straight at it but is super reflective with a titanium finish when you see it at an off angle..
mirror is illegal here too unless you get a sticker from the installer certifying it or somethin like that..all i know is if you get pulled over and cant show the cop the sticker on the inside of the window *ticket*

On my miata I have 20% all the way around and 35% on the front windsheild. It is very hard to see at night unless I have the windows down. I live in Gerorgia and the police consider this illegal, so if i were you. I would check to see what the leagl limit is in your state.

I have 6% limo all around w/ a window strip and 35% is the legal amount here on the front 2 windows but I always see darker.

eh, i have 5% rears and 15-20% fronts. you could still see through the front as you see in my last two pics in my members ride. i think its a must to tint the front if you tint the rear whether its illegal or not. having the rear 5% and the front none, is ugly. and ya i have trouble see out of it at night but thats why i always use my side mirrors when i'm reversing.

I have 35% on mine. In washington, 35% is legal limit. Mine is real reflective on the outside so it looks darker than it really is. At night, you can't see inside at all. Then again, backing out of my driveway at night I can't see anything since there are no street lights on my street. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/IMG]

I heard 30% and 35% tint is too reflective compared to 20%. Is that true? Or is that also how you imply the darker the better? I'm looking forward to getting 20%.

well its 35% here for legal, and thats hella light so i went with 15% side and limo on the back. IMO 15% for the side is still little light but 5% would be too obvious. and IMO theres no reason for u to tint ur side mirrors

In Cali, it's illegal to tint the side mirrors, but you can tint the rear ones. IMO... you'll mostly see every car with that kind of tint job and IMO, it looks unfinished without the sides tinted. I don't see the point of tinting the rears and not the sides. It's pointless on a coupe, but would serve more purpose for a sedan... but from the outside, it looks...

if your tint is illegal, you might as well do it all the way... like say legal is 35% and you got 20%, man just make it 5%, whether, its 20% or 5% its still illegal. theres no such thing as something being "more"

just a thought, although it doesn't really pertain directly to this topic:

in reference to the title of this thread, the darker your tint is, the more freaked out a policeman will be if he pulled you over at night. If I was a cop, and i couldn't see you at night because of your tint, I would be EXTRA SUPER CAUTIOUS about approaching your car. Just putting in my 2 cents because maybe one day, a cop might whip out a gun or something because he can't see $*#%

yup.. kinda happened to me once... he told me to put my hands outside the window while he was creaping up on me with his hand on his holster. well atleast i'm hoping that was why he treated me that way...

same here, sucks cause it was near a school...everybody kinda saw it. cop wouldn't even come close cause i'm limo tinted from the back. he had to use that god damn mic told me get outta the car
