Rep Power: 0 I dont want anything extremely fast, just something that can keep up. I would like to at least run a 14 second 1/4. Do you think this is possible in a 7th gen. What would be needed to do this.

Rep Power: 0 Possible? Sure! With about a $12,000 investment to include suspension modifications, a k20A2 engine swap, and a healthy dose of giggle juice, you may make LOW 14's! Or with about an $8,000 investment for suspension modifications, engine internals, forced induction, and perhaps some more giggle juice, you could get the same thing. But if you're looking to get to 14's on i/h/e, N2O, an upgraded clutch and a good driver, I advise you to pray often to the most high, cuz it's gonna take a miracle.

You might have better luck starting with a V6 Accord or Altima, or even a Maxima which already has plenty of go in it, and then tuning that up. Headers and a Y pipe with exhaust add 15 horse to a V6, and superchargers give you the chance to run well over 400 HP on a Maxima. The VQ engine is just incredible, but it does have a price... I think it's about $26k. The altima has a de-tuned version of the VQ, and the Z is a tuned up VQ.

Rep Power: 400 Just took it out with a Gtech... 0-60 in 7.9... 16.16 1/4 mile. That was the best of 3 and it was my first time trying it on the clock.

Rep Power: 0 By 14's i really meant late 14's or early 15's. Sorry for the mistake. Boilermaker your car does 0-60 in 7.9? Do you have any bolt-ons. I have read that the 2K1 does 7.9 stock. 7.9 is not really that bad to me. I just want to be able to do 0-60 in the 6.5-7.5 range. 0-60 is most important to me. Where I live you really cant get much past the 1/8 of a mile in a race, so 0-60 is critical. I basically want to know if you can get a 0-60 of 6.5-7.5 without spending assloads of money.

Rep Power: 400 According to my friends GTECH, which he says is accurate to with in a few hundredths of official drag strip timing, my car ran 0-60 in 7.9 with just an Injen CAI on stock tires with 87 octane gas. I could have run a little faster, but I was fighting the tires spinning (it wasn't the greatest road to try it on). With a little less burnout, I probably could have shaved it a little bit, but I don't know how much. 7.5 may be possible with a little more work. I haven't done anything to my exhaust system yet, nor am I running on sticky tires. Nitrous will definately get you moving, but I sort of consider that cheating . I borrowed the GTECH for the weekend, so lets see if I can turn out some better runs.

Rep Power: 0 Cool Boilermaker. I dont know if you will quite get a 7.5 with just an intake but keep workin. I have a Gtec too and my girlfriend has a 2k2 ex 5speed. I might go test her car sometime this weekend. Also 93 octane, if it is available in your area, will shave some time off. I raced my friends Integra GS in my girl's civic and he won when i was runnin 89 octane and was very low on fuel. Well I filled up on 93 and i beat him by two car lengths. Then on the highway we was doin like 45, i gave him a one car headstart. I ran him down and passed him by two carlengths by the time we hit 115.

Rep Power: 0 A stock US 02 Civic EX should run 15.9 - 16.2 with a decent driver.........
Intake/Header/Exhaust setup will not make a great difference (couple ponies to the ground).....
If you get serious: engine swap, turbo, good internal tuning.......

Rep Power: 400 After trying all afternoon, 0-60 in 7.9 is repeatable. I ran 4 sub 8 sec 0-60 runs, all in the 7.9's. All were between 7.90 and 8.40. Tire spin seems to be a problem on the stock tires. I was launching at about 3000, shifting at the redline (obvously)

Rep Power: 0 You have 144 hp to the wheels with that setup? Or is that to the crank? Well, i think you are forgetting that the 127 hp stock is at the crank, not the wheels. So, theoretically you would be getting more than 17 hp because you are not puttin 127 to the wheels stock. You would be puttin around 116 or so to the wheels. So if you are puttin 144 to the wheels than that is about a 28 hp gain. That is if you are puttin 144 to the wheels. So those mods would be worth it. I would have waited for the Jackson Racing Supercharger to come out, but 28 hp should make your car a good bit quicker. As for the minivan crap, i hope you are kiddin that you get beat by them with those mods. If so, that is very, very sad. I dont see how a minivan could beat you stock. My sarcasm meter may be broken, so i cant tell if you were kiddin or not. God, please let you be kiddin.

Rep Power: 0 Hmm 14's not possible? I have cold air intake, cat back exhaust, header, pulley kit, zex plugs, nitrous express kit. I took my car to the track numerous amount of times and ran consistent 14.8s and 14.9s, with a 50 hot of nitrous. I've seen TONS of single cams old or new gens running 14's. By the sounds of most of the people replying, most of you guys must not know how to drive. Goto your local track during an import day. You'll see......I have an ex 5 spd by the way.

Rep Power: 0 my 7th gen civic ran a consistant 16 flat with dc twin loop exhaust and aem cold air with 15" rims and stock rubber...... Not too fast bro..... So like everyone else said, if your lookin to run 14's don't buy a civic..... if you love civics and you have the $$$$ the best thing to do would be to buy the civic swap the engine for a k20a2 and BLAST OFF!!!! Mid 14's here we come.....

Rep Power: 0 Your speeds about right.....83 mph around there is where you should be crossing the line at. You'll never get out of 3rd unless you have boost or juice or some crazy engine work. But you should still be running mid 16's or lower.

Rep Power: 0 If you cant get out of the 17's try to shift 100-200 rpms before the redline, According to the cars stock graphs, your horsepower drops off before the redline, along with the torque much like most cars. As cool as it is to push your car to the redline, your actually loosing time by staying in that gear. The biggest time will be made up in the start and inbetween shifts. Once you have got that down your times will decrease no matter what car you have.
