Got my racing header in!! *PICS*

Well, I dont know why but this was a bigger pain in my a$$ then Bluenvy's. I got a header the same as HP just without the HP name, oh and I can get them now if anyone is interested. I of course cut the motor mount cause dropping the the motor is kinda alittle to much work but after all the cutting I did I may have been wrong. the mount on my car a 2001 EX Sedan seemed to be bigger the Bluenvy's 2001 LX Coupe. Well, here are some pics for you to looks at. Hope you all like.

pardon the ignorance but is your header a 4-1 or 4-2-1?

also does it have a merge collector? what are the size of the primaries? and what is the size of the outlet connecting to the cat or test pipe?

You can get em? Well then, I have a few questions:

Can I JUST get the downpipe? considering I have a DC Sports upper piece already. How much is jus the downpipe (if I can). Will it fit well in my 01 EX coupe automatic, I dont want any cutting.
After taking off the old stock pieces Im sure like most ppl u observed the two, is the downpipe larger than stock? well, my question is: whats the difference between the stock and the racing one u have, it replaces the cat convertor right?

Thanks SO MUCH
Lou

btw: nice lookin car

what did you use to cut that piece off with? on a scale of 1 to 10, how difficult was this? that piece you cut off looks like some sort of mount or bolt hole or something. does it have any function? just curious.

I cut the front motor mount. I used a hacksaw but it got to the point where we had to use just the blade then we had to use a file the rest of the way. As for how much work. Pain in my a$$. The whole thing took about 7 hours. But I think it was well worth all the work.

you didn't answer all of my questions

ok so its a 4-1 race header got that part, but what is the size of the primary length (the pipes)? does it come with a merge collector? and what size is the outlet ? 2.25? 2.5? etc

did you use a cat? if so what brand? got any pics of underneath the car?

That is basically the hp header without the name. I am pretty much certain that the only difference is the spot on the tube for the 02 sensor. I talked with a guy from the civicstore.com about them. I just don't like the bolt sitting there but the gains should be the same as they are probably made by the same people.

Yeah, it's the same exact design I hear. I don't like the bolt sitting on there, too.

For those of you out there who r against choping your front motor mount to hell, you should check out power cores down pipe and race cat w/o the header.... It fits perfectly and no cutting....... It gives you the most HP for your buck!!!! i haven't found a header that is really great for HP gains yet and as for "14HP on the header down pipe" I really can't believe that sorry!!!!
