for your viewing pleasure...my car being lowered, before, during, and after

Here's my 2k1 EX sedan being lowered on neuspeed sports...

the old fashioned way before spring compressors....

front's done...

on to the back

before and after's.....

front before (they're kinda dark on a monitor, but looks good on my laptop lcd screen.... can someone lighten them up?)

and after....

rear before....

rear after...

and finally...
Before...

and AFTER

what do ya think?
now i have a question.... there's a clicking noise in driver's side wheels whenever i go on short, sharp bumps. it's more noticeable when going slow. my mechanic doesn't really know what it is and advised me to ride on it and maybe it will go away. he made sure everything was tight, and he also said it's not the first time he's heard it. he says it shouldn't be a problem. it is probably the spring hitting the upper or lower perch. has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you fix it???

thanks guys... hope you enjoy..

edit: typos

yeah, it looks like they're upside down... but there's only one way they fit on the perch, so that's the way we put em on. my freind said it was the first time that he had seen them like that.

they ride really well.... almost like stock.... except for that clicking noise i mentioned up there....

would have done a DIY but those damn struts are really hard and complex to take off, much less describe taking off... damn ball joints, nuts and bolts all over the place...had to go everywhere to find the tops of the rear struts (they are in the back corner of the trunk)...

anyone know anything about this clicking noise i'm getting?

New springs tend to make noise for a bit while it goes up and down. Have you considered getting some shocks too? Stock ones aren't that great IMO. Did you have to get them aligned after?

I had the same clicking noise that you're talking about when I first installed my Goldlines, and I was a little bit concerned just as you are. However, it actually went away after the first week or so, and it hasn't returned since.

Looks good too, BTW.

i still have to get them aligned, but i'm not going to until this weekend or next week. my mechanic friend says to ride em for a few days, then if it's still making noise he'll take it apart and look at them.... so until that happens, i'm not going to get them aligned.... all i have to lose is my stock tires, which will be going soon anyways too.

and new shocks.... i'm not going to get them until i need them. these really don't ride bad enough for me yet.

the back only goes in one way, however for me the front went in both ways... it was put in with the tighter coils on the bottom tho... and the clicking noise, after 2 or so months i still have that noise, i just live with it... doesnt seem like its causing any damage... i'm thinking its cause its not sitting right on the lower perch but oh well..

It looks really nice. I want to do the same with my car, but I'm going to need a camber kit. I don't want to mess the tires up.

sKwiD is on a distinguished road
the sound will go away... mine did after like 3 days and i was scared as crap, but it was on the passenger side... Now I think my shocks have started to go and I've been dropped for about 2 weeks.... Neuspeed sports also.... I'll get my pix up and we'll compare... about the same thing lol... but yeah I bet your alignment is off, cuz mine is, but I'm gonna drive to California first and waste my tires, then get rims and then align them... maybe some new shocks too... well nice drop... Its my silver twin.. I'll get pix up soon... good luck...

Looks great man...

Do those springs really ride like stock? How much were they, if you don't mind?

Thanks.

yeah, it's not really a clicking noise. well it is, but it's kinda more like a tapping noise. sounds like the spring is tapping on some other piece of metal... the perch maybe? i dunno.

herbalus, can't wait to see your pics. tell me if you get any tapping noises.
