Painted My Calipers *Pics*

http://community.webshots.com/user/civic_mike

I used Dupli-Color's FORD DARK BLUE DE1606 (Thanks to Pogi Hoy for giving me the heads up on it a while back!), which matches the Eternal Blue Pearl fairly well. I just cleaned the area really well, masked off the areas I didn't want paint and applied 5 light coats. Pretty easy, and looks killer!

Looks great! How long did it take you? Did you use standard caliper paint?

I used Dupli-Color, and it is high temperature paint. Didn't sand, prime or clear coat them either. Thanks for all of the comments!

Did you use spray paint or is that brushed on? Looks great.

Looks Pimp! Really sets off the contrast of white rims, blue center cap, blue car, blue caliper . . . now you just need bigger rotors!

Thanks!

Decamo
I sprayed 5 light coats on. Thanks!

Vizyun
That's the first thing I said when I stepped back and looked at it! Actually the wheels are silver, and I plan on upgrading my front rotors with an AEM Big Brake kit and blue rotor hats of course

Thank you!

I picked up some red 1200 degree paint today I was going to try for my calipers. Anyone know what temp rating it needs to be? And how many coats suggested?

There is no DIY for painting the calipers yet.

Would like to change my rotors out at the same time. Money money money. Ha. None to spend.
