Hi, I found civic i-vtec with k20 engine. I don't know exactly which model of engine is. I would like to buy this car but sadly my car knowledge is poor I would just like to know how good is this car and if could it possibly be a good investment for some further tuning. I am a complete noob about but I like the speed. I appreciate all the help. Thanks
assuming the swap was done properly (looks like it was), it'll be solid. The K20 is a lot more bulletproof than the D17 it originally came with.
you'd have to look at the engine stamp to see if it's a K20A3 (base RSX/02-05 Civic Si hatchback), K20A2 (RSX Type S), or a K20A (JDM Honda Integra Type R). Off the top of my head, I think the power difference is like.. 160bhp, 200bhp, 212bhp, respectively
just a heads up @Swerve back when I was thinking about doing the swap back in the mid-late 2000s in my 2002 civic, it was gonna run me minimum $2-3k to do the swap back then. Maybe $4k. It's been a minute. The K20 motor is kind of a badass
