If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Our Race Build Crew is made up of mostly Technicians, Parts Guys, and Service Writers. Our IT guy is helping with some of the non-car stuff. One of the young ladies in the photo and you will see her in a lot of the upcoming videos is actually a service writer here but is a pretty accomplished technician.

...are you mandated by sponsors to run a new car?
or required to race in SCCA FWD Modified?
I mean if I had those resources and a team I'd build an FR platform not a FWD.
or are you converting the drive platform?

@mac25 no we are not mandated by sponsors on what we were running or in what series.
We chose the new Honda Civic for a couple of reasons... with the number one being as a Honda dealer the body in white and as it morphs into our race car will live in the showroom when not being worked on. Its a conversation starter and it's kind of neat to be able to take someone that is looking at a new one and show them what the shell looks like. Going with an older car would have still been great too and we talked about it a lot.
We are running in NASA Honda Challenge 1 so we are limited to a FWD on a Civic and not able to change it to FR setup. Even if we were allowed we don't have unlimited resources. We are still a small team and our relationships with sponsors do not include free unlimited parts. We have a small budget and have been pulling favors and working on ways to get the most for our $$.
Now if we are successful maybe we will be able to up the ante and get a little more crazy.
