honda. you are obviously master of painting rims. what is your process? do you clean? sand? primer? clear coat?

I clean them off first, then use 800 grit sand paper sand them down then use 1000 grit then 2000 grit. Spray degreaser on them then wash them off again. Dry them then tape off the lip then cover the tires then I start the paiting process.. Takes me 4 hours to do all 4 rims

Honda, why wouldn't you just plasti dip them? The only prep work is a quick wash, it goes on, then comes off like a wrap instead of having to sand it off. AND you can paint over it, so you do 4 coats of plasti and then the paint over top. Best stuff ever, did my rims, my badges, gas door, and gonna do some work on the lower parts on my car. look!!!

You can prime first but since my rims were white I didn't have to.. I just got the clear off and painted over the white paint

I just used Krylon paint.. its thick and dries quick.. yeah i put clear coat on the green.. same brand for the clear coat
