Re: My EM2 - EX SE Build

Lmfao...
I just found out, the dealer I got my Grids also have the P45R bronze in 4x100...No chrome lip but....
17x9.5" with +15 offset LOL

and 215/45/17 isnt THAT big, that's what I'm running.
I'm on a 7.5" rim too, it's ever so slightly stretched.

Good to know, I'm leaning towards the rota because it doesn't have the polished center like the enkei, which I don't like. I just really wish i could find a 5 spoke rim in that color, that

A) has thick enough spokes to hide brakes better, but thin enough to look sporty
B) has spokes that extend far towards the outer rim, not get cut off really short and have a tick outer rim :P
C) has a look of "depth" and not utter flatness.

This isn't as easy as I thought it would be

Re: My EM2 - EX SE Build

Looking at the Enkeis, they are pretty much what you need.
Their bronze looks terrible in daylight though.

I really think the Konig Feathers in Gold or White would really suit you better though.

Re: My EM2 - EX SE Build

Really? I think it looks good really unsaturated like that.
Now, the wheels I have currently look really really gross in bright sunlight.

That's the whole reason I picked bronze over gold. Gold is way too flashy.
That bronze actually looks really modest. I think it's ruined by the bright red calipers behind it, lol

Re: My EM2 - EX SE Build

Dunno if you're into these, but they don't look half bad on blue.
$450 from seller, good deal for any wheels in that condition.

I realize you probably dont have enough permission to view thread:
here it is:

18x7.5" Enkei FD-05's, 4x100's
Khumo Ecsta AST 215/35/18's low profile tires with about 60/70 % tread left.
Also Enkei center caps and hub centric rings included

Re: My EM2 - EX SE Build

Blegh... i don't like those for several reasons.
Too big
Spokes are too squarish looking
and for some reason I really don't like black wheels with silver lips...

Re: My EM2 - EX SE Build

Black and silver lip is a little cliche, but I think 18s are perfect size for our cars.
Tires are a bit small though.

But anyways, just throwing it out there, since it's a great deal on rims of that condition.

Re: My EM2 - EX SE Build

Exactly the problem.
Go big or go home, especially with wheel lips that create a smaller wheel illusion...

That aside, i got my HID projectors today.
Wish me luck, because I have no idea what the hell I'm doing.

Re: My EM2 - EX SE Build

You could do a tucked slammed look with 16x7 +37 and 215/50/16 (or 215/45/16 if you want lower profile)
Especially on coils.

Re: My EM2 - EX SE Build

I kinda agree.
But I'd never seen a disassembled projector in person before, so i didn't have a good idea of the size it would be when i ordered it. I was worried that certain shrouds would be too large. Now I realize i was wrong, lol

Re: My EM2 - EX SE Build

Not really hard, just work slowly and carefully.
I can honestly say, the hardest part was taking the battery in and out of the car with all the new wires in the way, lol

The bit where you have to heat up the headlights in an oven to soften the glue was a bit nerve-wracking, but it all went smoothly and I was able to use all the stock glue to melt them back together. Splicing the bi-xenon hi-beams into the halogen hi-beams was tricky only because I didn't cut the wires with enough slack and had to make some really awkward 3-way soldering connections.

I might just give this a shot and order them. What wire do you have to splice into on the high beams?

Projectors come with a new high beam bulb connector that you can splice directly into the wires of the OEM high beam connector. That's only if you want to run HID and Halogen hi-beams at the same time.

Otherwise you can just plug the projector into the OEM high beam socket, or leave the halogens plugged in ad the projectors unplugged.
