Welcome to the site. I have a question and it may be stupid but here goes. Why does everyone do the 5 lug conversions on their civics. Should I do it on my EM1?

There's a few common reasons for going five lug: more wheel options, rear disks, better calipers, larger diameter rotors.

The first option is the only real reason. Otherwise, wheels only need to big enough to clear the brakes, and the brakes only need to be big/strong enough to stop the car for the kind of driving you expect to do. Since Civics don't have a whole lot of power to begin with, and unless you're taking it to the track, getting bigger brakes is more about costly aesthetics than real functionality. Just IMHO.
