so me and my buddy were talking and my car is nearing 193k. i thought it would be time for the motor to go soon. but he claims that i should try and replace the cams, to make it faster and live longer? what do u guys think? i have a 1998 honda civic ex. what engine mods can i do to make it quicker?

replacing cams isnt going to do too much for you....and sure isnt going to prolong ur engine in any significant means...

i did a bunch of reading, which i guess ishould have done first. and if anything a motor swap is the way to go. but at 192k idk if a motor swap will be worth the car. not sure yet
