New guy, New ride?

Hey everyone new to the forums, and owning a civic ha. 2010 Honda Civic VP (apparently the DX replacement?) drove it off the lot with 3 miles on it. Love the car, mainly due to the gas mileage considering I drive a lot. Been thinking it's time for some new rims, looking into the konig unknown's but still not set, an also how difficult is to to install aftermarket car audio? I previously had a 01 chevy blazer and 96 Eclipse GS, but traded them both in for the new civic.

Re: New guy, New ride?

nice! i love the styling of the new gen sedans. white was a good choice as well. I actually like the mirrors unpainted. I would go for a set of white rims. maybe with a red lip?

welcome to the forums!

Re: New guy, New ride?

To install an aftermarket deck in an 8th gen, you need to get an entire new dash piece which includes all of the climate controls etc. because the stereo is built right into that entire piece. Some people have done it but I think it looks funny.

Nice car though. I've always had a thing for white cars.. they're sexy. I'm thinking of getting a white 8th gen coupe here in a few months.

P.S. - Good choice getting rid of that Blazer! My friend has a 00 Blazer and it seems like every week she is getting something or another replaced on it... her parents 95 Corolla is more reliable.

Re: New guy, New ride?

If I had an SI I would go red lip, but since I have such a neutral color such as white I've been thinking maybe chrome with a black lip due to the black mirrors? And I've gotta get some sort of system put into it, after going 3 years with one music just doesn't sound the same without it. An yes the blazer once it hit 100,000 miles it was one thing after another, I am a bit sour about the eclipse though, I had just put a brand new engine in it less then a year ago and the tranny loses 2nd, 4th, and reverse. Saddest part is even missing the gears it was more reliable then the blazer. Drove that 3 geared wonder over 100 miles a day ha. Thanks for the warm greetings and compliments on the new car.

Re: New guy, New ride?

does anyone know if the stock radio has RCA outputs? I'm not sure if I seen it on this website or another but someone had the stock radio with some subs in the trunk. And thank you, my dad had a white mustang GT an I knew I wanted my next car to be white, they just look better overall.

Re: New guy, New ride?

thanks guys I really appreciate all the comments, and I'll have to go online an look at the wiring diagram now I guess ha. Unfortunately it's an automatic, I asked for the stick but the only one they had in white was an auto. And wolfman it's actually a part of my job in the military ha so I know a thing or two about it as well if you need any help.
