Gday guys,
Only new to the forums, and to owning a civic to be honest, i know i have a 96 ek hatch but i am unsure as to what else it is, i have heard about ek4's and ek9's but have no idea what they are, is it to do with which engine is in the car, i have a d16y4 engine, does that mean i have an ek4?
Any help towards me understanding what differences there are would be much appreciated, i tryed to search for this info, but as being noob had no luck, guess my searches were either too broad or specific.

G'day again,

so i found out off another thread that the terms ek4 and ek9 i had heard about were chassi codes, and mine in fact is an ek1, being built in feb 96 i wasnt expecting to have an ek9 = P

its interesting to learn these little facts like what codes like ek1 ek9 etc
acctualy mean, and im eager to learn more, for example a 96 dx compared to an ex, what does dx stand for what does ex stand for, i think dx is the hatchback and the ex is sedan but i dont know, please anyone help would be muchly appreciated... i know for some of you this is common knowledge and i hope one day it will be for me!
