I'm Holly and just bought a '91 Civic LX from an auto body shop (no branded title; was just a trade).

Most everything on it is stock, very good interior and OK exterior. The paint (dark blue) is faded in places and it has a black hood. The interior is very good for its age and just needs a good cleaning.
I'm not really here to show off my car, at least right now, money being the key reason. I'm mostly here to learn and gain wisdom on repairs, parts, etc.
I just sold two cars, both better-looking and more exciting than the humble little Civic, but wrought with more problems than I was willing to fix.
I had a yellow '91 Toyota MR2. Ran and drove fine but needed major valve work, suspension attention, second-gear synchro was out, body and paint were meh, the list goes on. Was ticking along just fine at around 200k. Sold it on Craigslist for $1000 and had over 8 offers the same day I posted.
Had a '92 Nissan Stanza, was my daily driver but was always going thru spark plugs and wires like candy. Had it overheat due to cracked hose this summer; after that was fixed it had a little engine fire. Cracked vaccuum hose connected to bad charcoal canister. After all THAT was fixed and I sold the MR2, the bugger jumped time and the engine was DONE at under 180k.
So it was time to get a Honda, even if the Honda isn't as pretty. It runs, drives, gets me to point B without bucking or catching on fire or spewing out smoke. I take care of my cars pretty well although I will admit I drive like a teenage boy rather than the 24-year-old girl I am. Have the speeding tickets to prove it.

I should add I paid $560 for my Civic (dealt 'em down a bit...I'm a girl so I succeed at making deals.) Has no visible or audible engine problems, brand new tires,...suspension could use a bit of tweaking. Has 179,XXX miles.
