Well among all of the other things that come with owning an S2k, S2ki.com does pretty cool things like having all of the Ohio and surrounding state (IN,KY,MI) divers take the IRL folks around at the Mid-Ohio Indy 200 parade lap. Just a few photos fromt the event are below.
Poor me, I got stuck with Scott Dixon, who won the race.

They are all individually owned. About 6 weeks before the race, the Ohio S2ki group starts a list of those who are interested. This year there were a total of 40, but I think only 30 ended up showing up for the race. We put the decals on our cars about a month before the race (just part of the deal to advertise). In exchange we get two weekend general admission/padock passes, infield parking in the "S2000 only corral", and get to participate in the parade lap.

Yes they are all of the indy drivers, and yes that is Danica .
As far as what is faster, my K20a2 was not stock at all it had I/rh/e, clutch, ITR flywheel, quaife, and a great kpro tune that put down 201whp/151trq on a mustang dyno. The car itself was lightened to 2500lbs. My S2k stock makes around 210whp/140trq on the same dyno and weighs 2800lbs +or-. The gearing through 3rd is similar (somewhat shorter in the S2k), but after third the ratio is shorter in the S2k (99 mph into 5th vs. 114 into 5th).
So by the numbers the civic should be faster straightline, but the gearing and added traction of RWD (trust me even with the Quaife traction was an issue with the civic) makes them much closer. 1/4 mile wise I would say it is a drivers race, launched right the S2k really gets out of the hole. From a low speed or maybe even a high speed roll, I would say civic hands down.
On the track, both equal tires, good conditions I am pretty sure I could drive the S2k faster, although I have tons more seat time in the civic and I had it setup REALLY well. I have not had the S2k on the track yet, I guess we will see once I get it on the track. Wet condtions, civic hands down, I could stuff that little thing into corners without a worry in the world, I would end up wrecking the S2k for sure.

the s2k has more potential but i dont think id gave up my civic for it. Shoulda just did like me kept the Vic and got a v8 vert lol. Nice pics but atleast you went with a rwd not a lateral move to something like an rsx. Torque sucks on those cars but the hp and handling are decent.

To be honest even though the torque #s are less with the S2k. The S2k feels like it has more torque in the gears that you need it, specifically when on the highway.
Don't get me wrong, the S2k is far better than my civic ever was. Everything about the S2k is designed around the driver, for example the way the climate and audio controls are setup so you never have to remove a single hand from the wheel.
Honestly short of a GT3, I don't think there is more of a "drivers" car out there, and I have driven a lot of different cars. It is just one of those things that unless you have spent a good amount of time behind the wheel of one, you just could not understand how "pure" the S2k is.
But I will stop there, because I am not on here to gloat about my S2k, it is a civic forum and I respect that, afterall I have been a member for over 6 years. Funny thing about that story is I have had two different screen names because some douche named S2000man banned me for arguing how how much better a K20 civic would be over a S2k
