Smoked my tails...
Re: Smoked my tails...
should have stayed with the original tails. To much black going on with your car now.
The tails look like they are tinted with blue around the clear lense part, dosent look right.
But if you like it thats all that matters dont mind what i say

Re: Smoked my tails...
When winter hits I will be going back to my OEM trunk lid so it will look a little better plus I have thought about cutting the tint so its only covering the red part of the taillight...
I appreciate the input...
I was more worried bout the po po but since I installed it I have had three follow me, during both day and night, saw no flashing lights

Haha I appreciate it...like it said its a static cling vinyl so it can be removed at anytime it really is just a temporary fix so I'm not looking at the same ol' car...

I went w/ dark. I have had two cops follow me both day & night...no problems. You may want to start out light and then go dark if you think there is a chance you may get pulled over.

Re: Smoked my tails...
Sorry guys it has taken me so long to get back....I just check in every once in a while! As far as getting the tint to stick I made sure it was as close to the border of the tail as possible without going over or being on the lip. Doing that allows it to stick to the tail no problem. Patience is a biggie also make sure the film goes on even and trim the film as necessary.
Any other questions just let me know!
And yes Ronda the extra film I have will fit your SI I was shipped the wrong tint and didn't want to hassle w/ shipping it back so kept it...$20 shipped if interested...PM me and lemme kno!

Can you go into more detail on the installation? I just received mine yesterday but the instructions aren't really clear. Did you clean the surface with alcohol first? Sqeegee (sp) it out? Did it wet or dry?
