the JDM ITR sounds nice...it has a valve that opens up at higher rpm,but its still pretty quite. get an 05-06 RSX-S axleback. They have bigger diameter piping and overall better sound.

Re: 8th gen exhaust on a 7th gen

Video works when i try it. I almost sourced out a used 8th gen HFP muffler for a cheap price, but someone beat me to it. Im still wondering how that will sound on a 7th gen.

Re: 8th gen exhaust on a 7th gen

yeah... thats my car with the si exhaust. its okay.... got tired of it after about a year. sounds good cruising but in high rpm's, the rasp is terrible. i tried adding a glasspack muffler as a resonator to quiet it down but it still has some rasp to it. i got the exhaust for free so it didnt bother me to much. i should have never took out the resonator though. im looking into getting the obx twin loop exhaust... im not sure yet.

Re: 8th gen exhaust on a 7th gen

it's odd. still no luck with the video. im logged into youtube. other videos play fine, but i cannot load any of sk8erelemnts' videos. i just get the dots going around in circles repeatedly.

ok, i just remembered to use keepvid to download the mp4... yeah, i don't like the sound.

Re: 8th gen exhaust on a 7th gen

if they don't, i don't think they will be in business very much longer. I am pretty sure with the type s axle back they are going to have to extend the piping a few inches. they will know what to do

Re: 8th gen exhaust on a 7th gen

so anyway, i got it put on today. there isn't much sound. sounds even quieter on a 7th gen than on an rsx. there is a little rumble when you go wot which is louder than stock 7th gen muffler but that's it. at least it isnt raspy like 06 si. i used my old digital camera to record the video, so the sound quality isn't that good.

Re: 8th gen exhaust on a 7th gen

where is the video? is it on youtube? also for those that ran the si exhaust. i actually do think it sound that bad but the raspiness does that come from the fact that you removed the resinator or just the type of exhuast?

Not much sound. Is there a break in period for stock exhausts? Mine only had 10,000 kms on it.
