thanks for the comments guys, keep em coming
@Rennen-Its only our second not sucking just let us enjoy it
@riceboi- I've gone back and forth between tails a few times now, I have 2 extra sets in my garage. This set kind of grew on me. I like the way they look, the chrome isn't that prominentandt hey are carbon fiber trim.
I have are one giant halo with black trim and stock. Don't really like these. I just went back to stock headlights from black TYC projectors and am liking stock alot better. I haven't really looked around for this, but it if i found a good DIY on smoked tails i'd switch back to stock. Without any mods, the stock tails are just too plain and boring for me.

Looks real nice but imo just needs to be cleaned up a tad bit.
Lose the civic emblem on the grill the "H" on the dash and I know you don't want to here it but go back to stock tails.

Damn Art, you've got a nice looking Civic! It'll be much nicer when you finally tuck an intercooler up under her lip, but you've got a good start!
I had the same tails at one point but then swapped to tinted stockers and now I've got the UKDMs. The chrome rings were a little too blingy for my taste.

Thanks for the comments everyone!!!!!
Im feeling alot of rage towards the tails. Now don't get me wrong, I hate chrome just as much as the next guy, but stock is too plain for me. Is there any way for me to darken these and make them stand out less? What product do people use to smoke out tails and headlights?
When i get home later i will post pics of all three sets of tails that i have to work with and i will go from there.
@MURDOCK- Unfortunately, that thing is kind of permanent. Something from the high school days . I was thinking about painting it black to sort of calm it down a bit. I can do the same thing with the "civic" emblem on the grill, but i always kind of liked that part of my badging.
@speedricer- Yea I don't need the gauges, but one day i will hopefully. Just battery, water temp, and air/fuel right now. And thanks for showing the love for the "civic" emblem on the front grill.
@Clint- Yea it definitely would, but i need to grab a MT first and the cash flow isnt that good right now. Thanks for the encouragement though, it definitely helps.
As a side note, How do you quote people so that their name appears of the quote so i don't have to keep using @ symbols?

Just do a QUOTE=username in brackets [] and the end it with a /quote also in brackets, for doing multiple quotes. If its only one, just click the quote button underneath the post.
For the tails, I'm not sure how to pop the lens off to get inside and repaint the chrome, but once someone posts how, I'm sure it will look a lot better with the chrome toned down to a gunmetal. Other than that, folks either use the pre-cut vinyl tint pieces - which I like and had on my stockers for almost 2 years, its still on them - or someone makes a Nightshades spray tint that works well too.

SOME MORE PICS LIKE I PROMISED
What would u guys think of painting the front civic emblem and the rear H emblem black? Or would just dropping the civic emblem be the safest way to go?

Well why don't you try dropping it for a month or so and see how you like it, If you feel like you miss it you can always stick it back on. Your car already has a lot going for it and it has plenty of eye candy, it dose not need that extra little bit imo.

I can get a license plate frame for the back, I had one but it always rattled a little so i ditched it. In the front the plate is mounted onto the grill so I don't plan on adding anything there.
Im thinking about going to stock on the tails. How illegal is it to black them out?

Dude Speedfoos has some blacked out tails $45.00 shipped you should buy them because if in the future you want to go back to stock you can.
not sure about the law though.

the car looks hot man. a few things i would change/fix. ditch the tails go with some 04-05 tails and fix the fitment on the front bumper. seems a lil to saggy on the passenger side. but then again ive never seen a body kit fit right. other than that the car looks hot and i dig it.
