sounds like a good idea, till u have to go for emissions. I dont know the pro's or cons so yea, i guess on creativity, it will be cool cause i dont see it that much.

I dont think that will be a good idea. Your bumper may turn black from the exhaust and could potentially shoot a flame and melt the bumper too.

i think the plate is more so the heat from the dump doesn't melt your bodywork. you see it done a lot on boosted race cars, 'specially fwd draggers
+1 for you if you decide to do it though.

Hmmm... I'll bite.
Pros:
- Looks cool
- Makes it easier to fab a DP if you don't have to **** with plumbing in a DT
- DT gases don't disrupt the flow of the current exhaust stream when the valve opens
Cons:
- The potential bodywork damage from the heat (exhaust wrap and a plate can reduce this)
- That rim will get dirtier faster
- Visual inspection and emissions issues if you ever leave Florida
I say go for it!

i really dont beat on the car that much only when i have to or just feel the need for speed so i dont think its gonna affect any of the body work. and it should only take about 30 minutes to an hour to fab & mount the only difficult part would be the dump tube and thats the exhaust shops prob plus the guys at the exhaust shop down here are really good when it comes to things like this. as for the PSI im only on 5psi. and i plan on leaving it that way my car was personally tuned by paul himself and he did an amazing job we tuned for 3 nights straight. one of which i ran a volkswaggon GLI on 14psi and aftermarket blow off valve from a second gear roll and instantly jumped him 2 car lenghts they were tuning as well with laptop just like paul what are the odds. but back on subject i will try to do it by this weekend and post pics asap. thanks for the replys guys!

completely off topic but i really like that color green. just i dont think anything but the EG can pull that off.
now ontopic it could look good if done right, if i did it i would make the metal black cause i got a ssm car, if your doing it, you want it to stand out. so if you car is a light color go with black if its a dark color go silver

Off topic, I also am diggin that green. I've seen a CRX shell in a color close to that, which also looked really good. Also, WPB represent!
Semi-on-topic, FYI Florida recently adopted (or announced plans to adopt?) California emissions standards, but I think it may only apply to '09 and newer models??

It's late, I'm half in the bag, but here's a quick stab at it.

There isn't enough room to get it behind the front wheel. You have to do some serious internal body defrabrication to get from the engine bay out to that spot.
