So I finally got around to painting my headlights the other day and I figured I'd post some pics of them and my car.
I just got the car a couple weeks ago and all I have done so far is: Painted my wheels gunmetal(last owner drove by feel), Painted the H emblems gunmetal, Honda accessory aluminum shift ****, AEM intake, cross driller/slotted rotors and STS pads, and an air freshener. Drop will come as soon as I save some $$$$.

Thanks for all of the replies. And yes the headlights are gunmetal as well. Also to Blady94 the windows are tinted. The pads are wearing very slow, I thought that they may wear fast too, but they aren't. I can't believe how well it brakes now, I have to get used to driving my wifes car when I get in it because of the braking I can't waint until I can drop it, it will look so much better. Not bad for my 1st EM though
As for the headlights, they are extremely easy to pull apart. The hardest part was taping the reflector behind the turn signal.

I'm also thinking of swapping in an RSX cluster. I need to replace some bulbs, and I'll have it out anyway

um, you know all the wiring is different right, and the cluster wont fit at all, it needs a whole new support piece and holder custom fiberglassed.

do you just use regular paint to black out the headlights? or do you have to use high heat paint? im using xenon bulbs which get a lot hotter. and is primer needed since its plastic?

they suck. even if they are genuine brombo slotted or blank brembo with a 3rd party slotted/drilled
it really decreases ur braking power...

I understand there is going to be some work involved with the cluster, but it was just a thought. I may also just put an 05 Civic cluster in as well. As for the paint on the headlights, it was just some of the paint I had left over from painting my wheels. It's just duplicolour wheel paint. I did prime it before I painted them just because I find it makes the paint look better and a little darker. You can see the difference in my wheels, I didn't prime the centre caps.
As for the brakes. I plan on autocrossing next year, I needed brakes, I had these at the shop, they were free, I installed them myself...thats why I have cross drilled rotors. Yes I do understand by installing them I remove usable braking surface, but when I was in a few emergency stopping situations they held up great and never faded.
Ill try to get pics of the major hp increasers...the airfreshener and the shift **** soon.

Yeah, well I more or less just scuffed the surface to get rid of most of the chrome plating so the primer would stick. I sanded it with 600grit wet/dry sandpaper, but I'm sure you could use a scotchbrite pad as well(body tool not dish cleaner) You just need to give the paint something to stick to....which isn't flat chrome.

I only sanded before primer, just to make a good painting surface. I guess you could go all out and sand in between paint stages, but I thought it was pretty pointless since you wouldnt notice the difference. My wheels however, I dod sand between coats.
