Trying to see if anyone is going to HIN Chicago, i'm registered for the show and was going to see who all is going, or if you wanted to meet up.

I'm not trying to hi-jack your thread or nothing dude, but in my opinion, HIN used to be a lot better then now a days. Back 3-4 years ago, there was WAY less 'corporate' influence. I remember the days when Hot Import nights was just that, Hot Imports at night time. it was just the cars, the stage with the DJ and girls, and then some local booths and some large comapany booths. Don't get me wrong, I think HIN is a great show from a car show standpoint. But I think it's evolved into something much different. The last HIN show I went to was a Nightshift, and it seems like there was more Corporate booths and performers on stage then there were real world modded cars. Everyone was busy checking out the girls dancing on stage while i was checking out the Top Secret Supra thinking to myself, am I the only person that knows what this car is? I think the demographic and the crowd has changed over the past couple of years. Oh well.
That's cool that you're going though, I'd expect you to take home a trophy or two, anyone else going?

^^^ i totally agree with you 100%. i stopped going myself a couple of years ago because HIN was no longer about the cars. plus, they charge so much money just to be a spectator, and the fact that 'show' cars are not as big as they used to be in the past.

so, i wont be attending the show itself, however, i might cruise down to McCormick place to check out some of the rides as they are leaving the convention center.

Okay, instead of saying how bad it is and such, if your wanting to go let me know, and we can meet up. Hot Import Nights is just like everything else, companies are out to sell their products and i'm glad they are there, they are what makes it fun and still exist. People go there to see the cars as well as the other things going on.
