varner88's build..
Some of you know what ive been up to latley some of you havnt so i decided to make a build thread to show my progress and whats going on.
anywayi bought a k24a1 awhile back with 40k on it with the plans on doing a oem build tsx rods pistons k20 or tsx head type s oiling system. anyway ill be updating this with the parts i get and when i start the actua build up of the motor.
alright so far i got:
complete k24a1
complete k24a2 tsx head with rsx type s cams
k20a2 oil pump
k24a2 aluminum intake mani and tb.
this weekend im picking up the following for my build
ep3 trans with 24k
act stage 2 clutch
type s flywheel
tsx rods and pistons
type s intake mani and tb with all sensors
dc sport k24 race header.
im hoping by the end of summer i should have it all built and swapped in anyway guys check out my forsale threads i have up and should be adding to in the next couple weeks or soo to try and raise more cash for the build!
ill get pics this weekend my digi cam is lost

6spd trans is horrible the gears in them are weak and break easy and not to mention there always consistantly breaking. ep3 has nice agressive gearing . proven to be a lil stronger then the 6spd not to mention im getting it for a steal of a price lol.
also the clutch is coming with the trans only has like 10k on it i beleive ima use it to get my swap going and when it starts to slip ill replace it.

you have the k24a2 aluminum intake mani and tb but ur picking up this weekend a type s im and tb?? what r u gona do with the k24 one..whyd u buy it in the first place? just a lil confused...

tsx one came with my tsx head. i need the type s tb to run on either intake mani anyway cuz tsx is drive by wire. i havnt decided which mani im using yet but its prob gonna be the type s one. here i took a shot with the tsx one

drive by wire... ur talking about the throttle cable right?...i rmemeber i got an accord for a rental and the throttle was all like computer controlled....the throttle body opend up by the computer instead of a cable..

This is just kinda a Kswap question but how come when you you swap a K series into a civic the motor sets on the passenger side of the car and in an RSX it sets on the drivers side?? I have always been curious about that?

Varner you do know the RBC intake manifold bolts directly up to the TSX head... you dont need to modify jack ****.. its only $167 thats cheap. its a pain in the *** to change the IM out once its in your car.. trust me. might as well pick up a IMG as well.

yea im getting a IMG from hondata and isnt the prb bolt up as well? im gettin a prb with all sensors fuel rail injectors an tb an sensors for 125 lol.. cant beat that
