Are these parts actually gonna work....Ive been wondering if they would or if anybody has experience with them.....give me your opinion please.......Also, does anybody know of any companies that make hood dampers for our cars that aren't EBAY brands....thanks a bunch.....

they should work, a hood damper is a hood damper. Tein makes some for our cars, incase you wanted to go more bling bling, but the price is significantly more.

I tried looking on the Tein site for the hood damper, but I couldnt find it for our cars....the closest one I found it for is a RSX......

btw... i hope you dont use a CF hood! i removed mine and ive sold it now to Varner... but cf and hood dampers are a bad couple

you just gotta be careful with opening and closing the cf hood with the tein dampers. Just make sure when closing the hood you grab the outside part of the hood and shut it.

yeah.. mine made some strange noise, so i didnt put it back on.. i didnt want to damage anything..so i love my oem hood better..unless or until i get a Seibon

yeah so is the battery, or engine, or fuel lines.. a hood damper is the least of the problems...

someone needs to make a locking type piston damper...

heres how i see it... it looks like a regular hood damper... but there is no tension or pressure on it... so you lift the hood up... and twist the piston and it locks up

Just keep a pair of viceclamps with you and that'll lock of the piston ! hahaha


And for the ppl scared with CF hoods. Justput ur stock hood on for awhile till the dampers get worn in a bit then it'll be better for the CF.

almost every car i get in my job with those hood shock things they end up not working, they never hold up the hood and like ^ said i just use a clamp on them to hold the hood up....i think those things suck

But you really do get what you pay for. Those OEM type ones suck and yes I work on cars and they fail. I got my Tein hood shocks for a hook up price and I gotta tell you that for sure its not losing its strength!!
