i got the polk db's 6.5 inch component set. i got one set for front and rear and installed the tweets flush mount installed, these things sound amazing and more stuff being installed soon so look foward to new pics.

Very nice install. What did you use to cut the tweeter holes? That was the only thing that stopped me from buying components...no power cutting tools.

my guy used a circular type saw bit that was on the end of the drill, they make them to drill certin size holes here is an example:

and the rings were included, the kit came with a flush mount ring

off topic, but why is your passenger handle black instead of gray like the drivers side? mine are both gray. did you replace one?

nice install man... i got the same speakers in my car too.. yes they do sound amazing... the beginning when you turn it up too high, it sounds weird, but when the speakers settles down and you use it quite a bit, it sounds sweet... i never though of mounting the tweeters on the rear panel like you did, i was thinking on the rear doors, but sweet install man... enjoy

thanks guys for the good feedback and when we bought it from auction the black piece was grey but damaged and i had a black one on hand so i replaced it but i do need to get a grey one

I would love to flush mount my Polk tweeters, but I don't have in my possession the 2 inch hole saw needed to cut the hole. Very nice install by the way, I just put my db 6x9's in the rear.

Nice speakers but installing components in the rear is very unecessary. You don't want all your sound coming from the rear, your imaging should be focused from the front and you should almost feel liek the sound is coming from the center of the dash. In my car the rear speakers were upgraded to 6 1/2" Coax and turned down so you just have rear feel. I suggest turn the rear speakers down to where you can barely notice them.

the circle saw is not expensive like electric130 i think eevn walmart has these for like 3 or 4 bucks

also drew22mader and chris the car is set up to be fully tuned around me when i sit in my car i sit kinda leaned back and right at the middle pillar maybe a little behind sometimes so im bascially in the direct center of the car with the tweets that way its directed sound all to center of car and sounds amazing
