rear lips
I see a lot of yall have the oem lip kits installed and the kaminari lip kits installed as well. I have an 05 and will go either one of the kits. My question is that the canister from my magnaflow exhaust conflict with either of the kits' rear lips. I was thinking of going with the kaminari front and rear lips, and do the oem sides. Would that be tacky?

Hey whats up buddy. Ya personally I have the oem on my car and the exhuast burns it up. All an after market lip is gonna do is make the bumber even lower. BURNING the plastic to a crisp.

I don't have a very good answer for you Dust, just wanted to subscribe to this thread as I too have an aftermarket exhaust and I'm looking at the Aero rear lip. I think all you need to do is change the hangers, but don't quote me on that

You need longer hangers to force the exhaust down a little. I have the HFP rear lip with the HKS exhaust and I've never had a burn, let alone a bubble.
where did you get your hangers from? i also have an hks exhaust and plan on putting a rear lip on soon. how much longer was the hanger you got?

Hangers come with the exhaust. Just go to an exhaust shop and tell them you want longer hangers. Problem solved

Smuggler amd suzy...is it true that the hks exhaust hangs a bit lower than stock? The magnaflow canister sits flush and snug. Does the rear hfp lip hang a lot lower than stock? If so plan b was to run the hfp front lip and side skirts with the kaminari rear but im afraid the lines wont flow. BTW mines an 05 too and u two have really have nice cars.

thanks suzy for that rear shot of boricua's car. HFP lip kit is seemingly like the best and cleanest way to go. another thing is do 05s sit lower than the 01s-04s? I have 18inch enkei gf1s (will post pics). The reason i ask this is because a friend has an 03 and my car with the 18s and still stock height is lower than hers. Im not complaining tho just curious

01-03 same
04-05 same
Maybe your shocks are blown, that could be why you're lower.
And no mudflaps wont work with hfp. They look ugly anyway.

I just notice you're from Shreveport. Yay for Louisiana!

Well, there are some vauge differences here. The 01-03 HFP kit is what I have, which is strikingly different't then the 01-03 rear Aero kit. So what I have and what suzy has are 2 differen't things, considering my HFP kit is made for an 01-03 bumper (Unles she has converted to the Zenki styling). The rear lip on my car ads some to the sides, but the exhaust area is abosolutley not any lower (perhaps less the a quater inch difference). The HKS exhaust does hang low stock, but it would take you 20 dollars to go to an exhaust shop and say, change these hangers out and make my exhaust fit more snugly. Then, problem solved.

Hey man Ya im rocking the Kamanari rear kit. I have the HFP front and side skirts. Lemme tell u the Kamanari looks super mean. Just make sure if u have a big muffler to get it lowered down so it doesnt melt the rear bumper. If u need help with anything id be more than glad to help out

He's right.
For 04-05s they only made what is called an Aero Kit. Which is part of the Honda Factory Performance options and blah blah blah.
The 01-03 models were given the choice of an "Aero Kit" or an "Underbody Kit," and are both part of Honda Factory Performance options and yada yada yada
eithery way Dust, you have an 05...you're choice here would be the 04-05 Rear Aero Lip which I have and boricua_civic have.

DUde U cannot put mudflaps/slashguards ON the HFP kit. Ya because the side skirts and stuff interact with it. Plus the mudflaps dont look really good on there any ways. Personally just get the HFP side skirts and call it good.
