Has anyone ever got a ticket for there exhaust
whats good i was on my way home and got pulled over bcuz they claim my exhaust is 2 loud but i have the greddy sp2 how much since does that make?

its bullshit i got the same type of ticket like 2months ago pullin out of the carwash they cited me for exhaust n i got a freakin magnaflow n they also cited me for tint but the cool thing was she marked the ticket non correctable so i was able to pay $195 online n i didnt have to a damn thing to my car still got the tint on n exhaust is the same.
With my old car (1993 Integra) I got pulled over for my Exhaust being too loud but they gave me a ticket for my Tint Instead. It was one of those fix-it tickets. So i just took off the tint on my front 2 windows and than only paid like 10 bucks.

Got pulled over driving in Massachusetts driving to Maine. Apparently exhausts are illegal in the state of Massachusetts but they are in Maine too and I've never been pulled over in Maine. Got off with a warning though no ticket. I think they were just hoping they could book me with something else.

Rep Power: 298 i gotpulled over twice for that reason. first time i told him it says street legal and i got a license plate infraction. second time i got pulled over he said it was loud but was going to give me one for the plate covers i had on my licenseplate. just have them check the decible level on your car, like what it outputs. if they dont do that theres no way to even know how loud it is its just there call.

Rep Power: 253 too many people drive around here in new york with horrible sounding exhaust for them to worry about mine....and mine is quiet anyway...evo 2...and they don't even go after the people with loud exhaust...cops here are worried more about the drug dealers...

Rep Power: 266 it must be nice to have cops have real problems to worry about. all they do around here is harrass people who work on their cars, cause thers no real crime around here.
never got caught. i have an rsr exhaust with random tech cat. my buddy told me my exhaust is loud as hell as i drove thro a shopping center but on the streets cops dont even look at me if im next to them. im actually surprised since i live in Northern VA and cops pull over any import with an exhaust system but not muscle and domestic cars!!
my wife got pulled and the cop tried to tell her the evo2 was illegal. that any modified exhaust is illegal. i tols her to tell him that he doesnt know the laws then because everything i have on the car is 50 state legal. the only way they can ticket you for an exhaust is by testing the decible level. itf it doesnt exceed the 95 max decible limit from 50 feet away then they cant do anything. this is of course if you have a cat in place that is obdII compliant.
it urks me to deal with cops like that. i get smart with them. they cant do anything and all they do is find something else to mess with you for. if they cant find anything they walk away pissed. its funny as hell!! LOL

Rep Power: 286 I've never heard of ANY exhaust being illegal. I love MO, had my kinda quiet Magnaflow for a about a year and a half and no tickets. My tint is legal so they can't do anything about that. I'll have to go to emission testing in June this year but it'll pass with no problem since its all computer

Rep Power: 0 one of my friends got a ticket for his jegs catback exhaust on his 95 sunfire and went to court for it and just to prove how f'n stupid VA is the judge made him go to driver improvement school. which we all know helps fix loud exhaust.

not true man if it doesnt have to do with emissions it can be replaced. which means anything from the cat back. but it has to be at or under 95 db form 50 feet away. i ahev read the law a ton of times now. i ahve also helped friends get out of the ticket because most cops dont even know the correct penal code infraction to write down. if any information on the ticket is invalid it can be dropped
