well the superbird was built for nascar in the early 70's... they are shitty straightline cars because the gearing is so spaced... plymouth teamed up with richard petty, pete hamilton, and bobby allison and dominated the circute for the next 2-3 years with may races plymouth coming in 1-2-3... on march 24 1970 buddy baker set the world speed record (at that time) of 200.477 mph around talledaga.
