Rep Power: 0 i did diy black headlights
i been reading some posts of people painting their headlights and decided to try. i only got to do one and too bad i messed up there is a spot where the paint stuck to the lens when i mashed it back together. its not too bad tho and maybe just looks like dirt. you cant really see it cause the pic is dark. well maybe tomorrow i'll try the other side. i dont have to drive my car for a while so i have time I keep the amber part chrome and just paint the other part.

Rep Power: 318 I totally see the mark. It's about an inch above the circle, 3/4 inch to the left of the amber, and at the apex of the headlight bulb housing. haha jk.

Rep Power: 0 thats what i did oven and it was real easy to pull apart. that chrome just flakes off too so be careful. i used alcohol to clean up the edges but too much will take the chrome off too. it happened in the parking light but i dont plug that in anyways.

Rep Power: 0 I blacked out mine out of boredom. I used to have my stock headies lying around my room while I had my projectors on. So 1 day, I was bored and tried to take apart my headlight. So I did with no problem and blacked out the crap out of them. It was very easy, I didn't need any oven or hairdryer or a lasergun. So far I've had no problems with it fogging up considering I didn't add any sealant when I put it back together. Ok, shut up now. bye.

Rep Power: 255 best stuff to use is high temp flat black spraypaint from home depot. to seal mine i used clear silicone bathroom caulk. i have pics of my DIY i wrote years ago in my gallery.... the DIY got all F'ed up though but the pics are still there.
i used a heat gun to seperate mine but i know people where the oven method worked fine.

Rep Power: 228 When I did mine I used Krylon Fusion Gloss Black. It looks fantastic. I also stripped as much of the original sealant out and used Silicone II sealer. So I won't be able to get it open again(without some trouble) but I doubt I'm going to need to open them any time soon.
