Rallye Red, unpopular?
Rallye Red, unpopular?
Judging from what i've seen on this forum, and in my area, red is not a very popular color among our vics? While I would see hundreds of vics a day, only a handfull would be red. Why is this? I don't think it's a limited edition color..so...?
all of the above is true sadly
it's more than just the popularity of colors
- red 7thgens were only produced as coupes (2door) except for the last year of production. most people buy civics for practicallity, and theres "more" room in 4 doors... (not really. only because the back seats are more accessible in 4doors)
- some insurance companies surcharge for red. some insurance companies surcharge for 2door. some insurance companies classify red-2door cars as sportcar and charge sportcar rates. That's not very enticing to buyers.
- red is a very attention getting color. why do you think it makes bulls mad haha
but there are those of us who just like the color red no matter what.

Well it varies on the insurance company. My car is classified as a sportscar because it's a two door. What's so sporty about it, its an economy car for god sake.

God, someone said played out. I hate when people say that lol. There are no RR's that I've ever seen by me. Interesting that my dealer never had any RR's for sale either. Some people don't like the RR's because its the only color that didn't come with a flake in the paint. It seems quite a few of Hondas Red's came only in "flat" colors.

There is gl@ss in my @SS...
