Rep Power: 261 Got a dilemma. CF ppl enter.
Ok...so I'm getting a new carbon fiber hood since mine is damaged by hail....and I want a Seibon hood because everyone says that they are high quality and will last, but they are on a 4-6 week delay due to shortages. But I can go to the tuner shop thats near and they have a VIS hood there already that I can go and pic up but has like 2 marks on it but I'm gonna reclear it anyway since I'm gonna paint part of the hood.
So should I wait for the better Seibon hood or should I get the VIS now?
Both brands are OEM

Rep Power: 261 Both hoods would be OEM. The Seibon would be 518 to my door and the VIS from the shop would be 450-500 depending on what I can get the too and then still have to drive it home.
I'm kinda leaning on waiting because if the VIS screws up later (like cracks or fades or whatever) I'm gonna be mad at myself for not waiting for the Seibon. Only thing is I don't know how long the hood will take...they say 4-6 weeks but it may be more.

Rep Power: 254 Yeah, It said VIS when I ordered mine, As a matter of fact it said VIS when drew22mader ordered his also. Just give Showstoppers a call and they'll hook You up. Just tell them You want the Seibon insted of the VIS. It's the same price.

Rep Power: 350 no matter what it is, your gonna have to really care for it to last 3 years unless you garage it. i have a vis and it fit like puke, hense hood pins. if you can get the vis for 400, and it fits without hood pins, get it. otherwise, wait.

Rep Power: 261 Thanks...I think I'm gonna give them a call either soon tonight or tomarrow sometime.
I called ShowStoppers and they said they had a Seibon coming in on friday and that the will hold it for me so hopefully I can get that one! I'm so excited that I finally found somewhere with one and for a great price too.
