here are some pics from a road racing event that i went to this past friday. this place is a country club with lots of high rollers, so its sorta an exclusive thing. it was lots of fun, and there were no other 7thgens to represent .

this was my second road racing event and they bumped me up to intermediate class because there were too many people with no track experience at all.

my poor civic was definately the slowest car, but hey, its more about the driver right?!

the track is located in Joliet, IL. they actually have two tracks there, a norh and a south. we actually ran on the south track which is 2.1 miles. for some special events they combine the two tracks together, but there was another event going on that day.

i definately think that my civic is under powered (not that i didnt already know). i was able to keep up with people in the corners, including being able to out run the ford cobra. but when the straight-a-ways came, it was bye bye civic.
