After posting a thread on here asking if i should take off the side moldings and the SOHC vtec sticker, which everyone said i should but some people said there might be clips holding it on, well there were no clips, just 3m tape which was easy to take off, i didnt have any fishing line so i just used dental floss and it worked fine. Goo gone got the residue off the sides and the trunk but there wasnt a lot anyway, all and all it couldnt of gone any better, paint still looks as good as new under the molding also. Oh and the drop is settled im guessing...

BEFORE DROP AND REMOVAL OF EVERYTHING

AFTER SETTLED DROP, REMOVAL OF SIDE MOLDINGS,SOHC VTEC STICKER, TRUNK DEBADGE, SUNROOF WIND DEFLECTOR AND MUDGUARDS

ONE AND A HALF FINGER GAP ALL AROUND

CAR STILL DIRTY DURING THIS PICTURE BUT THIS IS WHERE THE SIDE MOLDING WAS

yea it was only held on by that 3m tape.....in the thread i made asking if there were clips under it they said only on sedans. I took it off by using dental floss behind it and keep going up and down until i had enough where i was able to pull it off and i just slowly peeled it than used some goo gone to get the excess crap off(wasnt a lot at all) i was gonna wash it and wax it but im gonna save it for this saturday a day before the NJ meet. No color fade at all as you can see, i bought some meguiers colorX just in case tho

well when you think about it, thats really cheap. they basically have to remove all door panels, dynamat, just to pull the moldings off each of the 4 doors. then they have to properly weld metal (two holes per door), make everything smooth, and basically repaint both sides of the car and blend with the front and rear. he said if you do that may as well repaint the whole car cause its not gonna be the best match.

my buddy is going to charge me 35 to fill my spoiler holes, and about 130 to install a shaved door kit. then another friend will paint it for free. just need to have friends that can do that kind of crap and its a little cheaper

i just debaged mine and where the civic was on the back you can still see a very small outline. is that the difference between the clear coat or do i need to clean it a little better? i'm just wondering what your experience was..

i had no outline at all, came off easily and i didnt even wax it and you couldnt tell there were badges there, i heard different stories about black cars tho that the outline is impossible to get off...what color is yours?

ok well its red, try and get some meguiars colorX, that should work i bought some thinking i would need it but i didnt. That product is highly suggested tho
