question for those of you who cleared your headlights

what did you guys do to get all the nasty goop that was holding the headlight together off? cause i cant get it all off and now im having problems with my headlights sealing. and they dont fit right now. any suggestions?

i just left it there and reused it to seal them back up. worked great. that is if you use the oven each time to soften it.

i did find DIY clearing your headlights,and used it. but it doesnt say anything about removing all the adhesive. thats why i posted.

i think ur supposed to leave that stuff on soo u can reuse it and then put some more sealant on it, i hope works out for u.....

i jus left it on, sealed with RTV silicon, and pushed it back together very hard.
Its been 1 - 1.5 years and my headlights are sealed better than from the factory. I have seen people who get moisture in their headlights with OEM ones in other cars, but I never have.
