I assume you have an EX 5-speed?

If so, I think you may have a chance. Those V6's are slow and heavy.

It would also depend on what kind of track....are you road racing? Drag racing? I'm assuming drag racing...you probably have a chance. One more thing, if this is drag racing, why do people list their drop as one of the mods? Unless it's something about the stiffness of the spring/shock combo...I don't see the reason to do so.

I've been in a Mustang V6 auto with a (crappy) custom dual exhaust.
I've also been in a 5 speed EX with intake, header, exhaust, and nitrous.

The Mustang wins when it comes to the "push you to the back of your seat" feeling.

If you are drag racing, I think the Mustang would win.

Guarantee you beat the V6 mustang if its an auto and if you can drive.

BTW this should be moved to the Racing part of the forum.

Hurry and run to Pepboys and buy some APC stuff... this will add 20whp easy!

I'm kidding... but you ought to try and put a cai on before you go. If you know how to drive decently... you shouldn't have any problems. And don't forget to take out any subs and crap you go in your trunk including spare tire. But don't let him see you doing this. Those poopstangs are trash!

Now awhile ago i read on here somewhere that someone said alot of people take off the alt and ps belts... not saying do this.... you might wanna research it more.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
