May 13, 2006 - Amidst the intense competition between hot rods on bags, muscle cars on dubs and SUVs decked out with custom Louis Vuitton interior, a winner has finally emerged. From the top ten finalists, Will Castro has selected Drew Mader from Portsmouth, Ohio as the winner--giving Mader an opportunity to chill with Will at his Unique Whips car customization shop in New York.
The win comes as a pleasant surprise for Drew Mader, even with his slick 18" rims and robust sound setup. "I had no clue if I would stand a chance compared to the other cars out there," says Mader. "There were a lot of nice cars and I was surprised to be in the same class as them." When asked what he'd like to see at the shop, Mader responds, "First thing I want to do is meet everyone. Every Wednesday I watch Unique Whips and have about 5 episodes on my DVR that I like to watch. Second I wanna see Reme and his 'Alter Ego/Second Half.'"
As for future plans for his ride Mader says he wants to "turbo charge my car" and "fiberglass my trunk lid with Component Speakers and Alpine touch screen in the lid as well." Check out the other finalists by going to the official Are You Unique contest site
