the best place to start is by not asking how to make a 93 civic faster on a forum for 01-05 civics.

Maybe someone here will know but you would be better off trying honda tech's site

Anyway, with a 1.3L engine, you will want to swap a 1.6 or 1.8 (B series I am guessing)

You are probably going to want to find a different site. But, the suggestion to swap engines isn't cheap... air intake is cheap and effective. Next up would be an exaust system... cans start at like 100$ and give 5-10 hp.

what is your budget exactly? couple hundered dollars? 5 dollars? 5000 smackers? and how fast do you want the car to be

you need to tell us that before we can help you really..
stuff like exhaust and intake (couple hundered bucks..)will give you almost no noticable power, but engine swap or turbo (couple thousand) and youll have a faster car
