Do springs settle?
Do springs settle?
Well to be exact I got my Eibach Sportline (1.4inch drop) installed 9 hrs ago. The handling and ride is amazing. It's my first time driving//owning a car with sport springs and I love how stiff and firm the ride is (ok that sounded bad..) But I won't lie, the drop didnt exactly reach my expectations. I got the springs for the handling, yes, but at the same time I want people to notice it was lowered. Unless I told people, I doubt theyd realize it was lowered. Anwyays to my real question, is this as low as they will go or will they settle lower after a bit of wear (if so, how much wear) thx

depends on where you live (weather wise) it will take time...could be a month or 3 months.

simple physics...since it is cold almost all of the time, it will take longer. the physics part: cold and metals makes it constrict making it more difficult for the springs to settle and condense/settle. i would give it about 3-4 months and that is my best guess since i am not from there.
as for the tucking...get a camber kit, that usually fixes the problem!

when I first installed my springs, when we finished we looked at the finished product and I was feeling pretty much the same as you are, riley (member of this board who helped me install) advised me to drive in an empty parking lot ~20-25mph and swerve back and forth kind of violently, it sounds weird but it worked.
