umm... i never understood the point of the start engine buttons... it seems to me that it would take more time to put the key in the ignition, turn it to the on position and reach over and press the button. wouldnt it be more efficient to just turn the key? w/e... good job on the install.
I have a question about this though.....
You know that grinding sound you get when you turn the key and the car is already running.....
will you get that same sound when you push the 'start' button and the car is already on?

all you need to know is that the black/white wire under the stearing is the starter wire just tap into that and then power and ground
im guessing it will, but im not going to try to tell you

dj02 - how is it different in an S2000? I've been in them while running, but somehow I've never been in one while it was starting.

in a s2000 the start button starts the car unlike when you turn the key in a normal car, if you dont push the start button the car will never start.
this is not the case if you add it lets say on your car. you have to turn the key to the pos postion "which is one turn away from starting the car in the first place" then push the button. but your car will also start if you turn the key all the way. unlike the s2000 which you need to push the start button.

well thats not compleatly differant, i acually have to push the button to start it, i didnt hook it up so you could do both on my car
its not like you can sit in an s2000 push the start button and off you go, you still need the key to unlock the stearing column, right?

i did it in my car a few years ago. if your car is a 5 speed you can push it all day long and it wont do anything unless you have the clutch pushed all the way in. i think i have used mine 20 times now in 3 years. its more of a conversation piece now more than anything. i always get a thumbs up for it

I like it... My only complaint is you should have mounted it closer to the driver... I'd hate for someone to get in my car and be like "Hey, what's that button?" then crrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrkkkkkkk haha
