01-03 vs 04-05
this guy must be like " damn! this is some cool *** ppl here" , my first post and look how many replies I get 
good topic..I think we should some day have a battle between the two models..
anyways..I think many dislike 04-05 headlights cause they are soo pointy..
..but I love my 04. The front & rear bumpers look the best on 04-05s imo, and the gauges are pretty cool looking too.

all i think the the 04-05 has thats good is the bumpers and tail lights, and the coupes stock grill... i dont like the OEM lip kit for it, i dont like the wheels that came out with it, i hate the headlights, i dislike the interior, the 03 is accually the same. i dunno, i think a 01-03 with 04 tails and rear bumper accually looks nicer than the 04-05s

Rep Power: 286 Well, I have an 04. My vote goes for the 04-05 look. I had a choice between an 03 for a cheaper price, because I bought my car in February of 2004. The dealerships were still trying to get rid of all the 03's in stock. I opted for the 04 civic because I like the way the headlights are, and the tail lights. I even thinking the minor change in the front and rear bumper are nicer as well.
how does that make any sense??
an 01-03 with a 04 rear bumper and 04 tails would look exactly like an 04-05.
Its not like they have different trunks from 01-03, and 04-05.
Both would look the same.

Rep Power: 0 I would say mostly the 01-03's cause they still look like the traditional civics and the headlights on the 04-05's don't look that cool to me. but i DO like the body style moldings on the 04-05's. i myself have a 2002 Ex and i'd rather have 01-03. but i'd take any civic anyday!. HONDA PRIDE!!!

only thing I dont like, is how there are alot of things that people made for the 01-03 civics, but not the 04-05 civics....such as lip kits(excluding the 99 & 00 lip kits), body kits, aftermarket headlights (excluding Ebay ones), limited non-OEM CF hoods. small things like that,....haha you could almost cal the 04-05 civics 7.5th Gen Civics

Rep Power: 252 the 04-05 are way more aggresive looking IMO, and also, if you compare the rear lights to an 01-03, theyre really blurry, whereas the 04-05 seem much cleaner? Like someone stated, the honeycomb grill, its not honeycomb for no reason...i read somewhere that there were better results then the older grills...more air would pass thru some thing like that. The shocks on 04-05 models are different from the 01-03 from what ive herd too.

as for me... the 04-05 is nicer. Front end kills the 03 and tails are way better, rear bumper kills it, and other than that its basically the same car...yet it has an armrest that actually works :P

I like the 03's the best, because they're in between, and they've got some well thought out things... softer cushion, better gauges....
I also like the fact that the 03 still has the shape of the original 7th gen, I mean, 04's and 05's are great, but they're just not as sharp as the others...

i agree i just love the look of the 01-03's then again i might be biased cause i have an 03 i bet if i had an 04-05 id prolly think they were the superior years. i guess this just boils down to opinion. everyone likes different things i just think that the 01-03's have a much cleaner look. But then the 04-05's came out and they look much cleaner as far as the nose goes. They still have that wierd build to them, like how from the door handle back seems way too long on the coupe's. Now the 8th gen, I'm SOOOO GLAD that Honda gave the SI back a Coupe. Those hatchy's are just freakin' retardified, they look like a mini mini-van.

dude, the 01-03 look alot more like the regular hondas than the 04-05, put a 01-03 next to a 96-00 they look almost the same in the front, the 01-03 is just more rounder and bigger. if anything the 04-05s dont look like the good hondas. lol
